Alex Blexus is a Brazilian-born musician, singer, guitarist, songwriter, DJ, and producer with deep roots in the vibrant rhythms of Brazil. Hailing from Porto Alegre, Blexus blends SambaRock, reggae, funk, soul, and Brazilian tradition into a unique and powerful sound he calls ReggaeSambaRock—a genre-bending expression of rhythm, freedom, and cultural unity.
With over 20 years in the scene, Blexus first rose to prominence as lead singer and guitarist of Casa da Sogra, a popular Sambarock band in southern Brazil. His 2009 hit “Nasantigas”—featuring legends like Luis Vagner “O Guitarreiro”—became a São Paulo dance floor classic.
His musical journey has taken him across continents: from Brazil to Europe, and finally to Sydney, Australia, where he now resides.
In 2017, Alex launched his solo project Blexus—a creative fusion of rhythms and positive messages for a better world. The acclaimed Blexus Trilogy includes videos like “Blood from Africa” and “Legalize Your Freedom”, combining powerful social commentary with infectious grooves.
